Volunteers reclaim two kilometers of the Cagayan River in weekend cleanup

Nearly 800 volunteers — students, barangay officials, and corporate teams — turned out before dawn for a two-kilometer cleanup of the Cagayan River's lower banks.

Organizers estimate four tonnes of plastic and mixed waste were removed in under five hours.
