More than 1,500 Cagayan de Oro residents lined up before dawn at the Pelaez Sports Center, where the First Lady's office set up tents for a one-day healthcare caravan that ran from sunrise until late afternoon.

Free medical consultations, laboratory testing, and welfare assistance were distributed across more than a dozen booths, with priority lanes for senior citizens and pregnant mothers.

Local officials called the turnout one of the largest single-day welfare events in the city this year. Organizers said the caravan will move on to Iligan and Marawi later this week.

'We are here so that no Oroquieño has to choose between groceries and a check-up,' the First Lady told reporters in a brief huddle at the venue.
